There are two types of company offering music for dressage:
one is a simple EDITING SERVICE wherein Mp3 tracks are extracted from existing recordings and pasted on to a CD. Such a service is not at liberty to legally change the speed or dynamics of the tracks they use and therefore the choice of suitable music is extremely limited. The compression technology used in Mp3 files omits many of the important harmonic frequencies found in Wav files. Quite simply this means some of the sound is missing.
The other type of service employs REAL MUSICIANS who actually re-write your chosen music using crotchets, quavers, dynamics and performance directions so there are no ghastly edits or fades between tempi changes or themes. This process is obviously more costly and time consuming because the music needs to be re-record and licensed as a new arrangement (cover version). The choice of music is however limitless.
Quite simply Music4Dressage2Music's only limitation is that of good taste and, unlike an editing service, we won't charge you a fortune to do something you could easily do yourself!
